Mac OS X 10.6 Spotlight's problem with finding 3rd party file types
Aka, this needs fixing.
Document kind: Live Set
Search within Finder results with zero found files. ‘Live Set’ was typed in full, no auto-complete. In past versions of Mac OS X, a drop down list would appear here with all the different file types installed the computer.
Run mdls on the file to get the content type metadata.
Running mdfind on that content type has no problems in listing the files.
And running this as a raw query in the Finder has no problems in listing the files either.
